Obama Administration Conceals Fannie and Freddie Documents

<<< I spent 40 years in banking and finance, including packaging loans and selling them to institutional investors. I know a bit about privacy laws. Just for the record the only thing recorded about your loan is the amount, legal description, and loan terms. How much money you earn, or where you work, or your balance sheet is all information that the lender has but is not allowed to share with anyone because of privacy issues. Paranoia is dangerous. You really should seek medical help. >>>

Tell that to the TWENTY FIVE MILLION (25,000,000) veterans whose ENTIRE medical records were released to the entire internet, or the 60 gigabytes of email that suddenly became public record in Climategate.

Once any part of your life is digitized and placed in the hands of government, it is de facto *public record*.

Sorry I responded at all. My mother taught me to never try to communicate with the mentally ill. They just don’t have the cognitive skills to understand. I’m sure you will decide that I don’t know what I’m talking about, since I am a Democrat, but I will tell you that I spent 40 years in banking and finance, including packaging loans and selling them to institutional investors. I know a bit about privacy laws. Just for the record the only thing recorded about your loan is the amount, legal description, and loan terms. Ok, now based on the her past messages, I see that Claudette is a "Democrat", whatever that means to her. Obviously, to her being a Democrat means loyalty to the Party operatives regardless of abstract Justice and regardless of the best interests of the country that has been all but destroyed from within by corrupt ideas (give away houses to subprmes and then "spread" the banks’ losses to unsuspecting investors "around the world") and that soon will be destroyed from without by nations who have declared "economic war" against the United States for having defrauded them.

Yet, despite the grave depravity of her party-loyalty, her response to this information is comical and amusingly hypocritical.

First, "all the details about your personal mortgage" are a public record filed in the County Court House where "mortgages" are publicly recorded.

Second, the Freedom of Information request is not interested in obtaining any details about your personal identity as a mortgagee (which they could look up in public records), but rather seeks the details of the pay-offs to Democrat Senators etc. who opposed reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac:

"this investigation involves the role political corruption played in the failure of adequate congressional oversight and the catastrophic collapse of these "government sponsored entities" in 2008. That’s why we filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Obama administration"

Third. The operative words is "were" as in "were independent companies":

Here’s how The Washington Post described the government’s "deal" to prop up Fannie and Freddie back in September 2008 when the sky was falling: "The government has formulated a plan to put troubled mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac under federal control, dismiss their top executives and prop them up financially…" [emphasis added]

I don’t see anything ambiguous about the government’s relationship with Fannie and Freddie. The two agencies are now completely owned and operated by the federal government and are therefore subject to FOIA law.

The Capitalists who formerly owned Fannie and Freddie lost their property (shares, investment) and therefore lost all their rights in the corporation that was their property. It is odd we do not hear the former owners/shareholders complaining and suing the former management (Obama’s friend Frank Raines) for corruption and embezzlement for pretending to have profits while they were bankrupt, and taking large bonuses out of the corporation’s funds. "Raines falsified earnings to trigger bonuses for himself, and stole $100 Million" (Where are the former-shareholder lawsuits?)

Fourth. Typically, it is the communist/Democrats who bitch about private business "corporations" effectively having the same rights of the "persons" who own them (shareholders). Now, we have a democrat crying that a formerly private corporation suspected of corruption and bribery with devastating consequences has a right to "privacy". If these no-public corporations wanted to maintain their privacy rights (incidentally, corporations have no privacy rights, and no right to plead the 5th Amendment), they only needed to avoid unsound practices (e.g., creating the market for toxic loans) that caused their own bankruptcies, and they would still be privately owned. Claudette never condemned those Democrats who have expressed hostility to the existence and profitability of Capitalist-owned "corporations", so it is hypocritical of her to object to the non-invasion of the non-privacy of formerly-Capitalist-owned "corporations".
